Registered Office: 28 Wigan Road, Ashton-in-Makerfield, Wigan, England, WN4 9BJ

Appointments may be requested by telephone, online booking form, email, WhatsApp or other agreed means.
A booking is subject to availability and acceptance by ZED Appliances Ltd.
Appointment times or arrival windows are provided in good faith. Due to the nature of repair work, traffic, previous appointments and circumstances outside our reasonable control, exact arrival times cannot always be guaranteed. We will make reasonable efforts to attend within the agreed appointment window and advise you of significant changes where practicable.
Our standard call-out fee covers attendance at the property, fault diagnosis and labour for most routine repairs.
Where parts are required, the cost of those parts is additional unless we specifically state otherwise.
Where a repair requires a part that is not available at the initial visit, our standard charge normally includes a return visit to fit the quoted part.
Our standard charge is intended to cover normal diagnostic and repair work. It does not provide unlimited labour regardless of the nature or extent of the work required.
Occasionally, an appliance may require additional, specialist or unusually extensive work that could not reasonably have been identified or allowed for within our standard charge. If additional chargeable labour or specialist work is required, we will explain this and provide the additional price or quotation before proceeding.
We will not carry out additional chargeable work without the customer’s agreement.
Our standard refrigeration call-out covers attendance, diagnosis and routine labour associated with the initial repair.
Some refrigeration faults require additional specialist work. This may include refrigerant recovery, evacuation, recharging or regassing, leak-related work or other sealed-system work.
Where this type of additional refrigeration work is required, it is not included within the standard call-out fee and will be quoted separately before the work is carried out.
Parts, refrigerant and other materials may also be charged separately where required.
Our charge is for the professional attendance, diagnostic work and labour provided and does not guarantee that every appliance can be repaired economically or successfully.
Following diagnosis, we may advise that an appliance is beyond economical repair, that suitable parts are unavailable or obsolete, or that further repair would not be appropriate.
The diagnostic/call-out charge remains payable where a professional diagnosis has been carried out, even if the appliance cannot subsequently be repaired or the customer chooses not to proceed with a quoted repair.
Where further investigation is reasonably required before the exact cause of a fault can be established, we will explain this where practicable.
Where we provide a quotation, it will be based on the information and condition of the appliance reasonably known to us at that time.
A quotation covers the work specifically described in it.
If additional faults, damage or work become apparent during the repair which could not reasonably have been identified beforehand, we will explain the situation and obtain the customer’s agreement before carrying out additional chargeable work.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotations do not include unrelated faults or additional repairs discovered subsequently.
Parts are charged separately unless specifically stated otherwise.
Replacement parts supplied by us will normally be new. We may use genuine manufacturer parts, OEM parts or suitable compatible parts depending on availability, suitability and the quotation provided.
Where a new part is unavailable, obsolete, or where an alternative may provide an appropriate and economical repair, we may offer a reconditioned or second-hand part. We will explain this and obtain the customer’s agreement before fitting it. Any specific warranty or guarantee applicable to the part will be explained where appropriate. This does not affect the customer’s statutory rights.
Parts availability is outside our direct control. We cannot guarantee that a manufacturer or supplier will continue to make a particular component available.
Estimated delivery dates for parts are provided in good faith but may be affected by manufacturers, distributors, couriers or other circumstances outside our reasonable control.
If an ordered part becomes unavailable, we will discuss the available options with you.
We may require payment in advance before ordering special-order, high-value or non-returnable parts.
We may also require full or partial payment in advance for appliance supply, installation or other specifically quoted work.
Where a customer cancels after a special-order item has been ordered, any refund will take account of our actual reasonable costs and whether the item can be cancelled or returned to the supplier.
Nothing in these terms affects any cancellation or refund rights the customer has by law.
Please tell us if the appliance has previously been dismantled, modified or worked on by the customer or another person.
Where an appliance has been dismantled, incorrectly reassembled, modified, damaged or subjected to an unsuccessful repair attempt before our attendance, additional work may be required.
We will not automatically be responsible for pre-existing damage, missing components, missing fixings, incorrect previous repairs or faults caused by work carried out by another person.
If additional work is required to rectify these issues, we will explain any additional charges before proceeding.
The customer must provide reasonable and safe access to the appliance and property at the agreed appointment time.
Where reasonably possible, the appliance should be accessible and the surrounding area sufficiently clear to allow safe inspection and repair.
The customer should tell us about any relevant known issues that may affect the work, including previous repairs, modifications, installation problems or access restrictions.
If we cannot safely access or work on the appliance, we may be unable to complete the diagnosis or repair.
Reasonable access must be available to integrated or built-in appliances.
We will take reasonable care when removing or refitting appliances. However, we cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing installation defects, damaged cabinetry, unsuitable flooring, seized or damaged fittings, inaccessible services or appliances that have been installed in a manner that prevents reasonable removal or servicing.
If additional work is required because of an unusual or defective installation, we will discuss this with you before undertaking additional chargeable work.
We normally recommend that parts are supplied by us so that we can verify their suitability and source.
If we agree to fit a customer-supplied part, we cannot accept responsibility for the quality, suitability, compatibility or failure of that part unless the problem results from our installation of it.
Any warranty we provide in such circumstances applies only to our workmanship and does not replace any rights the customer may have against the supplier of the part.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due when requested following attendance, completion of work or acceptance of a quotation requiring advance payment.
Payment may be made using the payment methods offered by ZED Appliances Ltd.
Invoices should be paid by the due date shown on the invoice.
If you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
For contracts entered into at a distance or away from our business premises, consumers may have statutory cancellation rights.
Where you expressly request that we begin providing a service during a statutory cancellation period, you may be required to pay a reasonable and proportionate amount for services already provided if you subsequently exercise a right to cancel.
Different rules may apply to genuinely urgent repair or maintenance work requested by the customer.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions limits your statutory cancellation rights.
Repairs completed by ZED Appliances are covered by a 6-month repair guarantee from the date the repair is completed. The guarantee applies to the workmanship carried out and to new replacement parts supplied and fitted by us as part of that repair.
If a covered part or our workmanship relating to the original repair fails during the guarantee period, we will rectify the covered repair without charge.
The guarantee applies to the original repair and does not cover separate or unrelated faults that may subsequently develop. Domestic appliances can develop more than one fault, particularly as they age. A recurrence of the same symptom, fault code or apparent problem does not necessarily mean that the original repair has failed, as different faults or components can produce the same or similar symptoms.
The guarantee does not cover unrelated faults, misuse, accidental damage, external causes, installation defects, pre-existing problems, or faults or damage caused by subsequent work or interference by another person.
Where a reported problem is found to be unrelated to the original repair, our normal charges may apply. Any additional chargeable work will be explained before proceeding.
Customer-supplied parts are not covered by our parts guarantee. Any guarantee applicable to second-hand or reconditioned parts will be explained and agreed before fitting.
This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your statutory rights.
We reserve the right not to carry out or continue work where we reasonably consider the appliance, installation, electrical supply, gas supply, water supply, property or working conditions to be unsafe.
Where appropriate, we may advise that an appliance should not be used until a safety issue has been rectified.
We will provide our services with reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for faults, damage or losses caused by matters outside our reasonable control or by pre-existing defects, misuse, accidental damage, defective installations, previous repairs or modifications carried out by others.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes or restricts liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability that cannot legally be excluded or the customer’s statutory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects your statutory rights.
Under UK consumer law, services supplied to consumers must be carried out with reasonable care and skill. Other statutory rights may also apply to goods, parts and services supplied by us. GOV.UK
